The event will be moderated by host Sanjog Aul. Some of the subject matter the panel and audience of CIOs and IT leaders will be discussing are successes, directions, but more importantly failures and lessons learned while on their paths.

Cash, Clouds & Conferences Propelling Limestone Networks

Limestone Networks, the Dallas-based, on-demand dedicated server provider, is pleased to report on company progress and innovation.

Limestone Networks, the Dallas-based, on-demand dedicated server provider, is thrilled to report that recent company developments are accelerating growth on several fronts. In May, Limestone Networks and Silicon Valley Bank, the California bank subsidiary and commercial banking operation of SVB Financial Group, agreed on terms that has provided Limestone Networks with a generous infusion of cash. This financing has produced marked improvements to inventory counts, assisted with infrastructure upgrades and helped fund a number of other endeavors.

Regarding infrastructure, Limestone Networks has completed a superior cloud platform. This platform uses KVM virtualization, 100% SSD storage and all Dual Intel Xeon E5-2640 hypervisors. Rather uniquely, the storage solution for LSN Cloud is fully distributed and is not subject to the availability of any one SAN device. “Everything in our cloud has been built around superior performance and redundancy,” explained Ryan Gelobter, IT Manager for Limestone Networks. “We have been working hard and I’m excited that our clients get to experience its performance and full-feature set.” The beta version of LSN Cloud is currently in testing, with the release of the full production version expected in Q4, 2013.

Another important development for Limestone Networks is Board roomtheir planned soon-release of enterprise DDoS mitigation. LSN clients and resellers have made their voices heard regarding access to advanced means of protecting their dedicated servers from malicious attacks and Limestone Networks has listened. The system that LSN is implementing offers three levels of attack filtering, catching everything from large to small attacks. With respect to this solution, Kris Anderson, Director for Limestone Networks commented, “We want only success for our clients. Having the ability to seamlessly add enterprise-grade DDoS mitigation to their services with us will allow them to grow without worrying about attacks.”

Limestone Networks announces addition of Intel E3-1200 V3 based dedicated servers!

Limestone Networks, the Dallas-based, on-demand dedicated server provider, is pleased to formally announce the availability of Intel® Xeon® E3-1200 V3 based dedicated servers.

Intel’s new V3 version of its E3-1200 series processor offers numerous upgrades to its V2 predecessor, and Limestone Networks is thrilled to announce its inclusion to their broad range of dedicated server offerings. With gains in CPU performance, CPU performance per watt, and graphics performance, the Intel Xeon E3-1200 V3 product family provides a versatile platform to meet a range of business needs. A few of the more important updates to this model are as follows:

  • Haswell microarchitecture. Intel’s industry-leading 22nm 3-D Tri-Gate transistor technology.
  • 12% increase in general CPU performance.
  • 12% increase in media and CAD application performance.
  • Intel® Rapid Storage Technology enterprise 3.x.
  • Intel® Platform Protection Technology (with BIOS Guard).

Limestone Networks has already seen great interest in the updated processor and they plan to submit their initial sales offering of the V3’s to the WHT community immediately.
