Unmetered and secure bandwidth between your servers...

Limestone keeps you connected in two different ways. Every dedicated server has two ethernet cards in it. The first links the server to the outside world via our fiber providers. The second ethernet card links the server into a backend router we have on our network, a LAN type of setup.

What is the advantage?

The advantage is that if you have more than one server, using one as, say, a load balancer and two database nodes, they can transfer information between the three servers without sending any information over the public Internet. This configuration offers our clients a secure backend network over which they can transfer and communicate between servers without wasting any of their bandwidth and without risking exposure of sensitive data to the Internet.

More information regarding our network...

It's important to know that your server is being placed on a well-thought-out network that has been tested and has been proven to provide enterprise-level service to thousands of servers. We have more information on our Datacenter - Network page that you may review. And of course, if you have any further questions hop into Live Chat and speak to one of our Account Specialists.
